John O. Gregory was born and raised in Manassas, Virginia. He takes pride in service to the community, personally and in business.
He founded Gregory Construction Company in 1954 as a response to a need that he recognized in the community for a commercial builder. He continues to personally oversee each and every project constructed by the company.
Mr. Gregory’s construction expertise encompasses all types of buildings, including commercial warehouses, office buildings, schools, tenant spaces, car dealerships, financial institutions, and activities centers, as well as churches.
The Associated General Contractor’s Association has presented John Gregory with the Honorary AGC Award "for his contributions to the construction industry through the years and for exemplifying skill, integrity, and responsibility in his business, community, and personal affairs" on January 20, 1996.
Mr. Gregory typically is involved in design/build projects right from the beginning. He meets with the owner to help determine their spatial and budgetary requirements and then works with our architecture department to provide a preliminary design. He stays involved in each project through all design phases, many times working with County/City officials to push approvals and permits for projects.
He provides final estimates for each project and works with the owner to determine if this budget meets their requirements. During construction, he visits the site frequently, as well as overseeing other aspects of the process in the office.
Mr. Gregory genuinely enjoys sharing the unique experience of completing a building project with each client.
